福島でのご飯を少し… A small topic about a meal in Fukushima

 

関東に続き、東北も梅雨明けしました。

いよいよ夏の到来ですね。

でも、いつもよりうんと早い梅雨明け。

地球が心配です。

Tsuyu (the rainy season) is over in Tohoku after Kanto.

Summer has come at last.

But it was faster than usual,

so I'm concerned about the earth's health.

そして、震災から４カ月が経ちました。

まだまだ避難所生活を送る人はたくさんいますし、

原発による問題もあとを絶ちません。

考えれば考えるほど怒りや悲しみはこみ上げてきて、

それと同時に、自分の無力さにがっくり肩を落としています。

And 4 months have passed since the disaster occurred.

But still now, many many people

have lived in places of refuge,

and there is no end to the problems about

the nuclear power plant accidents.

The more I think about that,

the more anger and sorrow well up within me.

At the same time, my shoulders droop in disappointment

at my own powerlessness.

今の私にできること。

東北の良さを伝えること。

まだ今は福島の、

それもほんの一部のことしかわからないけれど、

それでも何かを発信していきたい。

（節電は当然のこと。

今までやってこなかったことのほうがおかしい!）

All I can do now is

to tell people the good stories about Tohoku.

Though I know only Fukushima,

and that is just a little part of there,

I want to send something about that with my messages.

(It is natural to save electricity.

I wonder why we did't ever do it !)

だからこれからも少しずつ、日常の些細なことに加えて、

福島での暮らしについて書いていくつもりです。

with small daily topics.

というわけで、今回は前回の続き、食事編。

Now, this time is the rest of the last one.

The meal. 

父の畑で収穫したソラマメとグリーンピース（エンドウ豆）。

Soramame (fava bean, broad bean) and

Endoumame (Green peas)

that my dad harvested at his field.

夕飯に豆ご飯、そら豆のナムルにしていただきました。

囲炉裏でみんなであぶった・・・といっても

私はカメラ片手にウロウロしていただけですが、

そのかつおのたたきも一緒に。

最高の夕飯でした!!

We ate them for supper,

Mame-gohan (beans rice),

Namul (a Korean dish of seasoned vegetables),

and Katsuo-no-tataki (chopped raw bonito) that

we roasted over an irori fire (an open hearth set into a floor).

But I did't do it... I was just hanging around

to take some pictures of that. 

It was a wonderful supper!!

福島県小野町名物、食堂仙台屋の中華そば。

メニューはこれだけ。

シンプル、そしてたっっっぷりな量!!

いつもかなり満腹になって苦しいのに、

隣で小柄なおばあちゃんも平らげている・・・。

う～ん、ご長寿、完敗です。

A popular meal of Ono town in Fukushima,

Tyuka-soba (a chinese noodle) of a diner "Sendaiya".

It's a plain taste but the big amount!!

I'm always full and my stomach scream when I eat it.

But a small old woman next to me eat up all in a flash.

Wow... you win, Ma'am.

え―――――っ!!もっとあると思ってたのに!!

失敗した。次回はたくさん撮りためてきます。
